Square Town (square.pov.town) is a live 3D favicon wall where every 1×1 square is $1: paste a URL and an email, Square Town fetches the favicon, you pick the cell. Anyone can evict a square by paying double what its owner paid ($1 minimum, so $2 for a $1 square), the $100 Throne in the centre doubles per eviction, anyone can kiss any icon for free, and the wall grows only when it is 75 % full. Built in a day by one indie developer, it runs on Cloudflare Workers for a few dollars a month and launched in August 2026.

Size 16×16 live at launch; +4 per side at 75 % full; max 1024×1024 (1,048,576 squares).
3D three.js; ctrl+drag tilts; tower height = clicks + kisses + kisses; sun follows local time.
Stack One Cloudflare Worker, D1, one Durable Object (WebSockets), Stripe for payments. A few dollars a month.
Launched August 2026. Built in a day, tuned since. Squares were free until October 2026.

Brand notes

  • The name is Square Town — two words, each capitalised. Not "SquareTown", "Squaretown" or "Square".
  • The mark is a gold square ■, #ffd84d, on near-black #0b0d10. Headings are monospace.
  • Tagline: "1 square = $1. Forever (until someone evicts you)." Keep the bracket; the eviction is the game.
  • Category: favicon wall / internet real estate. Comparisons to The Million Dollar Homepage are fair.

Please don't: call it a pixel wall for images (nothing is uploaded; a square shows the favicon of a URL), or say "subscription" (every payment — a square, evictions, the Throne, analytics — is one-time). And don't say it sells SEO or link equity — clicks are plain redirects.
